We want to share our know-how and passion for football, especially for Match Analysis. This is why we decided to launch this course, developed through technical skills, innovative tools, and cutting-edge technologies to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs of modern football.

Today, the role of a Match Analyst is essential within a coaching staff seeking a competitive advantage. This course is designed for those who want to turn their passion for football into a profession, acquiring the necessary skills to analyze matches, interpret data, and support tactical decisions.

• Dates: April 28 to May 16, 2025 (excluding public holidays)

• Participation mode: Online, via Zoom

• Class hours: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, for a total of 45 hours

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Provide an in-depth understanding of the Match Analyst’s role within a coaching staff.

• Teach advanced tactical analysis techniques, both individual and team-based.

• Utilize professional tools and software for match analysis.

• Develop the ability to create detailed reports and effective presentations for coaches and staff.

• Prepare participants to work in professional settings such as clubs, federations, or companies specializing in sports analysis.

COURSE PROGRAM

The course is structured into six theoretical and practical modules, developed by professional analysts to ensure a complete learning experience:

1. Introduction to the Match Analyst Role

• History and evolution of sports analysis.

• Key skills and essential tools.

2. Tactical & Technical Analysis

• Study of tactical schemes and game patterns.

• Analysis of different game phases and set-piece situations.

​

3. Individual & Team Analysis

• Performance evaluation at both individual and collective levels.

• Identifying strengths and weaknesses.

​

4. Technology & Software for Analysis

• Using tools like SportsBase, Once, PlayMakerAI, and more.

• Video analysis and creation of tactical clips.

​

5. Statistical Analysis

• Introduction to Data Analysis: interpreting key metrics and data.

• Creating dashboards and customized reports for coaching staff.

6. Practical Cases & Simulations

• Match analysis and real-game situations.

• Hands-on projects with personalized feedback.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

• Live online lessons with industry experts.

• Practical sessions using professional tools and software.

• Individual & group exercises to develop hands-on skills.

FINAL EXAM & CERTIFICATION

​

At the end of the course, students will undergo three evaluation tests:

​

1. A theoretical exam.

2. Two practical assessments on match analysis.

​

If the average score is at least 18/30, students will receive the official diploma from Pro Football School.

​

This certification is recognized for official registration as a Match Analyst and allows enrollment in the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) Services Portal.
